We are hiring part and full timers for 2024 to add to our small crew starting May - Nov. Ideally, we need people for Thurs, Fri, Sat. We will train you intensively in the beginning then you’ll be unleashed to work mostly independently. You will never be asked to spray organic pesticides because we don’t believe in doing that although many organic farms around here definitely do. We’ve seen employees take advantage of their employer and vice versa. We know there’s something very wrong with the fact that Boulder County farm owners are actively trying to be exempt from the new minimum wage law ($25/hr by 2030). Why are they pushing back on workers rights instead of raising prices? Part of the issue could be overstaffing due to inefficient and inexperienced workers. Some workers are two to six times faster than the next worker and we are looking for those fast paced, high caliber workers to join our team. We are not just another farm looking for bodies to chew up and spit out, we are a farm looking for meaningful and symbiotic relationships. We want you to join us, and a handful of other farms in the area, as we work towards a local food system that doesn’t exploit its workers. By working for us, you’ll learn how to farm profitably and sustainably.

Conviction in pursuing an agricultural career
Waking up early and being on time: you absolutely need to be an early riser
1-2 years experience vegetable farming with 3 work references
Physically strong and equipped to withstand harsh environmental conditions for hours
You live in Longmont and do not have a substance abuse problem
You need to be honest, reliable and mentally stable
Job description
Helping harvest for orders or market. Hand picking anything from arugula to zucchini.
Post harvest handling: washing and bunching.
Working some farmers markets with us Saturdays in Longmont
Hand weeding and transplanting
$18-$26/hr (depends on experience) plus veggies and market trades (meat, eggs, mushrooms, dairy, fruit)
