Born and raised on the beach in San Diego, CA I feel home on the Front Range. My grandparents on my mom’s side lived in Fort Collins. Having spent a lot of time with them I eventually wandered far enough South and fell in love with Longmont.
The abundance of small farms presented many job opportunities for me.  Before settling in Longmont, I spent 5 years in Western Europe dividing my time between earning my graduate degree and traveling farm to farm to earn my keep.
With a Bachelor’s in Environmental Studies from Northeastern University, I pursued a M.Sc. program in Organic Agriculture at Wageningen University in The Netherlands. I finished my M.Sc. degree in Germany, at the University of Göttingen-Kassel in Sustainable International Agriculture.
My dad was born in Italy and his whole family still lives in Bari, Puglia. My dual citizenship and these Southern Italian family ties allowed me to immerse myself in European agriculture.
I returned to the USA in 2013, and for 7 years I worked for a handful of commercial organic CSA farms. In 2020, my partner Dave and I began collaborating with Abby and Bill Sivy to lease their 10 acres of land on the Rough and Ready Ditch in Longmont, CO with the goal of creating a sustainably managed vegetable farm integrated with the community.
While I’m not farming, I’m dreaming about a pair of mini mules to replace our cultivating tractor.
